Interior Architect Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Successfully complete tenant improvement projects from start to finish
  • Ability to merge interior design and architecture design
  • Ability to work independently and with a team as needed
  • Demonstrate an understanding and ability of design concepts to construction documents
  • Process submittals, RFIs, substitution requests, etc during construction
  • Enjoy managing project scope, schedule, budget, and team

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in interior architecture
  • Proficiency with AutoCad, Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office platforms, Revit experience a plus
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Product knowledge as it relates to interior assemblies, finishes and subsequent specifications
  • Diagraming and interior architectural renderings
  • Experience resolving complex technical and design issues
  • Experience working with local and regional municipalities building departments
  • A detail oriented, critical design thinker
  • Extremely organized with a high caliber of time management skills
  • Must be people and relationship driven. This position requires frequent contact with clients and co-workers.
  • Previous experience working at an Architectural firm preferred
